Hello Folks,
I have a new Dell server with the configuration of 1 TB RAM, , BOSS Card SSD 500 GB
Windows Server 2022 gets installed successfully, however when Hyper V Role is enabled it goes to a continuous reboot, BSD of DPC Watchdog violation.
When OS is installed on the disk which has more than 1 TB of disk space have no issues with the OS even after enabling the Hyper-V role.
on the same server, Windows server 2019 works on 500GB SSD.
Is there any prerequisite with the windows server OS disk, such as RAM against OS disk
The following troubleshooting steps I have performed.
Windows Server 2022 installation GUI and Core
Changing page file location to another disk
Hardware diagnostics, no issues found.
Your suggestions and feedback will be much appreciated.

so I think something has changed in Server 2022
Without a doubt, this is why the hardware goes through a certification process. Since the server is new support via Dell should be free of charge. If you wanted microsoft support you can start a a new paid case here.

Was this ever resolved? I'm having the exact same issue and can replicate the same steps and get the same outcome. I also opened a support case with Dell, who did a hardware diagnostic, said everything was working and up-to-date and sent me on my way.
Same problem with an R350 and Server 2022. I've tried various options, installing HV role before any drivers, installing it after. Doesn't matter, triggers a DPC_WATCHDOG violation if your OS is installed on a BOSS array.
Isn't the point of paying for Tier 1 hardware that it's validated for the approved operating systems? I consider installing the OS and the Hyper-V role a pretty bloody basic task and something that should have been validated.
This is a MS and Dell fail if you ask me. KVM/Proxmox looks better by the day.
