Manage Outlook safe sender list

Hi All,

Within our organisation we are teaching our users not to click fishing e-mails, for that reason we are sending regularly emails from non existing domains to our internal users. For pictures to be downloaded we have used the safe sender list within outlook.
We are using GPO to create safe sender list within outlook. Works like a charm, domains and email addresses are added. Also the user still manages to add their own safe senders (append).

Now we want to remove domains and email addresses from the outlook list. But removing them from our global safe sender list (used in GPO), does not remove them from the safe sender list within outlook.

I can find numerious posts of how to create the GPO and safe sender list, but no answer to remove domains or email addresses from the list.

Any help is much appreciated!

Best regards

    Hi @Duinkerken, Herwin ,

    Welcome to our forum!

Does the Safe Send list that you import through Group Policy work?

In order to avoid formatting errors, it is recommended that you create a safe senders list in the Outlook client and then export it to a txt file, and then update it through Group Policy, the old safe list will be overwritten by the new one. (Note: The safelist added by the user on the client side is also overwritten)

    Hi Guys,

Sorry for the late reply, but our IT teams are devided. I asked the team which manages Exchange to help me with this issue, but untill now no support. They don't think it is a big issue, so it's getting back on the end of the line.

Please close this thread. I think @Victor Ivanidze gives the right answer, but i cannot yet verify.
