Test AAD Environment

Wondering if there are any options for creating a mirrored testing tenant/environment for Azure AD. Ideally, we would like to test major changes before pushing them to the main tenant.

I saw this post: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/63453991/best-practice-for-maintaining-dev-azure-active-directory-aad-that-closely-mirr asking exactly the same thing but can't find anything more recent.

Is this still impossible? What are other folks doing for testing?

Usually I have a Dev/test Environment and you can explore this dev-test, the best part is that you can optimize your cost savings with both Azure Dev/Test pricing and Azure Hybrid Benefit licensing. Use Azure Dev/Test pricing for your dev/test workloads and Azure Hybrid Benefit licensing for production workloads

Hi Jimmy, thanks for the reply.

I did see that Azure testing portal but it doesn't seem like it would replicate/sync with our production environment, is that correct?

It's possible there is no way to do what I'm asking but I wanted to confirm.

Basically it is upto the requirements, you can also explore the test tenant setup on the Azure DevOps for testing purpose check this test-setup-environment

And sorry yes there is no way to sync but you can always explore the process of deploying apps, configuration settings in the Dev/test environment first and move to Prod Also you can use automation to keep the environments in sync
