Everytime I click on a window it instantly goes to full screen.

This is not the same issue as I don't move the window I simply cluck on the window to move it and it enlarges. I can after a few tries get it to hold so I can drag the window to where I want it. I don't think the snap feature is the culprit here as I don't even move the window nor is it near the edge of the screen. This just started. It is win 11

It isn't any particular app. It is any window any app. Typically you would double click to get it to get any window to go full screen. However one click does it. I double click to get it to minimize and occasionally then I can click and drag. In most cases it takes multiple attempts before I can click and drag.

Then check the mouse settings to see if your single click is being registered as a double click because the setting is too high.

Thank you for your suggestion. However it hasn't resolved the situation. I did test the functionality on several faster and slower settings and no luck.

In response to it being an App. I am sure you saw my reply and no the windows on my computer never pop open fullscreen. That is annoying. Lol. For the life me I can't figure it out.

@Tom Nolan I am suddenly having this issue as well. I just started noticing the problem maybe a few months ago (I think it took a month or two for me to realize that the problem was my computer, not something I was doing differently). And to validate that something is off, I have the exact model of computer for my personal use as for my formal work. My personal computer has not been updated as frequently with microsoft updates, and that computer still behaves the way that I remember, with no annoying full-screen pop ups. This issue is driving me absolutely nuts. Have you figured out the solution? Did your problem also emerge recently, when before everything was behaving well?

If you double click a window then it tends to maximize. If you are seeing that with a single click then it is possible the double click detection rate is too high. Go to the mouse settings and lower it.

You didn't mention the app but it is also possible that is just how the app behaves. It would be annoying if it did but it sounds like it just started so maybe not.

If the app starts up in maximize mode then change the shortcut setting to have to start normal (and hope it doesn't default to full screen).
