SSPR Registration Requirements Selected Users

Reed Dalton 1 Reputation point

If Self service Password Reset(SSPR) enabled for only a selected group of users, Azure should not require that group of users to register for SSPR when signing in. Otherwise, Azure should give admins the ability to exclude a group from requiring users to register when signing in, similar to the none/select/all options found in "Properties" section of SSPR settings. I have confirmed that the users excluded from the "All Users but Emergency Users" group that I tested are not being impacted by other conditional access policies

    Hi @Reed Dalton

    I will suggest you to raise a MS Case or Support case with this recommendations and hopefully it should be considered as it seems a valid observation and recommendation in my opinion.

    Hope this helps.

    @Reed Dalton
    Thank you for your detailed post and feedback!

    Adding onto what was mentioned by @JimmySalian-2011 , I'd also recommend leveraging our User Voice forum and creating a feature request, so our engineering team can look into implementing this. I've also created an internal feature request, so our engineering team is aware of this as well.

    If you have any other questions, please let me know.
    Thank you for your time and patience throughout this issue.
