Hello.
I have two farms of rds.
The old one with 2008 R2 and the new one with 2019. They both have RD Gateway.
If I connect to RDs 2008 R2 and copy 10 files totaling 149 Mb from \tsclient\c to rds c drive it takes about a minute and a half.
The same thing about RDS 2019 takes five and a half minutes.
It only happens when it is through the RD Gateway, if it is in a local network or vpn it works correctly, it takes between a minute and a minute and a half.
I have tried to activate 3391 udp, activate and deactivate NLA and I do not get any improvement.
Can anybody help me?

Thanks.

I cannot really help you, but with the freerdp client there is a similar/the same issue

Up to RDG 2016 it works, with RDG 2019 and 2022 the upload (from rdp client to server) is way too slow.
This only happens with RDG HTTP+websocket. If you have a Windows 8 client around, you will probably see that this is not affected.

I don't know if there is a way to disable RDG HTTP and enable RDG RPC only as that would probably solve your issue

When using a freerdp the option /gt:auto,no-websockets is your fix.

the funny thing is that 2016 has rdg+websocket, so it was not always broken. Don't know what Microsoft changed.
