    @Powell, Kevin R. (Liberty IT Solutions) ,

    Your question is more related to Stream. As we are mainly responsible for general issue of Microsoft Teams. The following suggestion is just for reference.

    You can edit the captions for accuracy after you upload the video to Stream site. For more details, please refer to this article: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/microsoft-stream-automatically-creates-closed-captions-for-videos-8d6ac353-9ff2-4e2b-bca1-329499455308.

    Thank you Sharon I have reviewed that MS support article and it does not address or explain how to resolve the issue for captions that are out of sync with the audio narration. For my MS Streams test in question, I uploaded a video and set the player to autogenerate the captions automatically to use the AI algorithm. The final accuracy was 100% for words created, spelling was accurate with 68 out of 69 words for 99% and punctuation only missed 1 out of 6 for 83%. The AI caption widget has the capability to edit the caption text, however; it apparently does not seem to be able to modify the timing values determining the syncing of when the captions are displayed in relation to the recorded audio narration. Maintaining caption sync is important for compliance with the accessibility requirements covered by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Could you possibly recommend another Microsoft support resource to determine if Streams can achieve this? For example, Microsoft provides a transcript app called the VTT Cleaner that adds functionality to Streams:
