22H2 Forticlient problems

Morning

We've been using Forticlient VPN for many years, starting from Windows 7 through to Windows 11, 21H2 without any problems. This last upgrade, 22H2 has caused a problem in that Forticlient will not start up without Admin approval. I think I've found the found the problem and it's to do with the service. The 'Forticlient Service Scheduler' service does not start and gets stuck on Starting. If I put it to start on manual and manually start the service, it comes with error code 1053.

If anyone has any pointers towards rectify the problem it would be a great help.

Thank you

    Afternoon

It looks like I've found the problem which effects Windows 11 2H22.

If you are on a domain and manage group policies to each PC from the Domain, I found by accident that the group policies for Internet Explorer in the computer Configuration had stopped the service for FortiClient to run. I'm not sure which policy yet but I've managed to get the service working correctly. We have a couple of dozen policies so will take me a while to find the culprit.

Hope this helps those who have the same problem.

    Many thanks
