Hi,

Is it possible to create a link within the body of a OneNote that opens the associated Outlook desktop email?

OneNote supports Outlook To Do items and is able to (created and) open the associated Outlook Desktop task. I need the same functionality for emails.

Within Outlook itself, the following opens the associated email but the same link on a OneNote pages doesn't work:

outlook:0000000060807C582AD5694D88D5255761B0D46D0700BBEE1CA6F9F29F429E9FBEAEACE4C45B00000000010C0000BBEE1CA6F9F29F429E9FBEAEACE4C45B0005ECDAFAB60000

    Hi @Bikhod ,

    Welcome to our forum!

According to my search and test, seems it is not possible to link to original email source in OneNote.

And I found a workaround for this issue, just refer to the suggestions in the following thread and check if it helps:

Found the solution. Paste the email into the body of OneNote, select it and right click to begin creating a hyperlink. For the address, use the same email address and at the front just add "mailto:" (DON'T FORGET THAT COLON) and press OK. (i.e. mailto:LarryBird@nba.org). When you click the link, it will ask you which application you'd like use and you're on your way!
