MS EDGE: Drag/Drop Download from SharePoint Online

We have issues with Drag/Drop Download from SharePoint online in MS Edge. This functionality works correctly in IE where users can drag a file from SharePoint Online to the Desktop. However, when doing the same in Edge it creates a Shortcut with the link to the file Online it does not download the File.

We have tried viewing the file in IE Mode and it does both; Download the File and create a Shortcut. Any ideas on how to enable Drag/Drop Download from SharePoint Online to the local directory in MS Edge?

    Currently, we could not download files from SharePoint Online to local by drag-and-drop in Edge.

    As to the second question, it is recommended that you send feedback to Microsoft SharePoint Feedback.
