Is there a way of configuring a DHCP server so that you can run an SCCM lab environment totally separate from production?

    Yes it is possible, DHCP is a broadcast based protocol, if you want use a separate test DHCP server, that doesn't impact production you will need to configure a separate network broadcast zone using a route and separate ip subnet.

    ok i will bite, you can run two or more cm site within one ip range. so... what is the need for dhcp for?
