You can use Python using either Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code. I am not familiar with using Python with Visual Studio Code but I assume it will install the necessary extensions and software.

Or you can install Python as in Python For Beginners. That page also provides links to books and tutorials. The The Python Tutorial appears extensive.

Note that the Introduction to Python tutorial is part of Build real world applications with Python.

Also look at Springer. They often have sales and they currently have a sale for 40% off until the end of the month. There are a few Python books for beginners there.
