Users who have been upgraded to Office 2019 (64 bit version) are unable to use SharePoint 2010 Datasheet views. The error which is displayed says:
The list is displayed in Standard view. It cannot be displayed in Datasheet view for one or more of the following reasons: A datasheet component compatible with Microsoft SharePoint Foundation is not installed, your browser does not support ActiveX controls, a component is not properly configured for 32-bit or 64-bit support, or support for ActiveX controls is disabled.

Tried below steps but no luck:

IE 32 bit used
Verified in private browsing

https://collab365.community/datasheet-view-missing-in-sharepoint-2010/ which recommend a solution but not sure I wanted to try a solution that seems that old.

any solutions please?

Please follow below tips to troubleshooting the issue.

The datasheet component is not available in 64-bit versions of Office. You need to install 32-bit versions of Office.
Add the SharePoint site to trusted site.
You can only use 32 bit version of IE 11 to use this component. And you need to enable ActiveX controls in Internet setting.
Reference:

Make sure your IE enabled the Office add-on: Microsoft Office List 1x.0. Open Internet Explorer, select the Tools button. Then select Manage add-ons. Under Show, select All add-ons and check.

According to this article, "You're using SharePoint Server 2010 and you need the Edit in Datasheet view. You can continue to use the Edit in Datasheet view functionality in SharePoint Server 2010 with 32-bit Office."

Hi Emily Du,

Verified, it is not working even IE 32 bit with active control enabled, office addon enabled and added in trusted sites. But still it is not working

Below blog says something that we can use office 64 bit for data sheet view,
Please let us know how to accomplish that?

The article you provided is for office 2013. The screenshot I provided above is for office 2019.

I suggest you install 32-bit version of office 2019. If the issue persists, you could open a ticket with Microsoft.

so it does not work with 64 bit office 2019, for only SharePoint 2010?

Install this and restart IE:

Access Database Engine 2010 components are required to view Datasheet View.

Does Datasheet work for 64 bit office 2019 for SharePoint 2010 after installing Access Database Engine 2010?

It doesn't matter which Office client is installed, or if one is even installed at all. You may need to install the 32bit and 64bit versions, depending on what bitness IE is running under.

HI seward,

We have downloaded and installed above database components in user machine, user machine is office 2019 64 bit, with sharepoint 2010 and IE 32 bit, but still datasheet view is not working.

Please help.

You need to install the 32bit version of Microsoft Access database engine 2010 as Internet Explorer is a 32bit application. I had the same issue where a SP2010 List Data Sheet View wasn't working and after the install of this legacy component it then again worked.
NOTE: IE11 is using Active-X technology to leverage the DataSheet View functionality which other web browsers (Edge, FireFox, Chrome) will not be able to offer.
