Install Exchange server 2019 CU12 error

Hello there,

I am trying to install a new Exchange server 2019 CU12, but I couldn't get through this error: In setup process step 6 of 13: Management tools

Error:
The following error was generated when "$error.Clear();
Set-LocalPermissions

" was run: "System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Attempted to perform an unauthorized operation.
at Microsoft.Exchange.Configuration.Tasks.Task.ThrowError(Exception exception, ErrorCategory errorCategory, Object target, String helpUrl)

    Hi @Shen Guo ,

    Welcome to our forum.

    Error"Attempted to perform an unauthorized operation", the error indicates that this is a permissions issue. it is recommended to check whether the account is added to the local admin group. If not, add the account to the admin group and rerun Setup.

    Check permissions of Exchange folders: Make sure that Full Control permissions are added. Here is a similar thread for your reference: exchange-server-cu13-failed-at-mailbox-role

    Also make sure that the account has Full Control permissions on the Exchange installation drive.

    Have you looked at the ExchangeSetupLogs? They may provide you with more info.
