Hello :

I have a interesting Question : Can one create a Sync rule to not Unsync users object from 0365 that have a Remote mailbox attitude enabled On-prem (0365 Exchange online mailbox/ in exchange Hyriid configuration ).

You see I work for organization that has a IDM system, this systems has the ability ( IDM Rules) to move AD object around within on on-prem Active directory . One these rules will move users to an OU current not selected in ad connect configuration . When this happen it causes the inactive mailbox and NDR happen

We are working with IDM Admin to resolve this situation but it going to be a long process due to the business logic involved.

and

We not Keen on Sync up non - required OU.

We looking to another Workaround to resolve this problem .

What I was hoping I be create a rule to not unsync object that have a Remote mailbox attitude enabled On-prem and we monitor these users that meet this criteria and migrate off 0365 mail via a manual/ Scripted process .

Does this seem achievable, if so are there any downside to this approach .

or

IS there another option for simulation like these to limited mail being lost

TIA

Dean
