Azure VPN Gateway cannot be Delete

Question

Hi
I would like to delete my VPN gateway. But I can not get it deleted!

I tried https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/517208/azure-vpn-gateway-cannot-be-deleted.html this post,
I tried deleting Resource group and I tried Remove-AzResource -ResourceId "ResourceID" -Force -Verbose. It said "Failed"
I tried delete with https://resources.azure.com/ and It said "Failed"
I havent any connection. Vpn Gateway provisioning state is "Failed"

Can you help me?

Could delete the VNG after remove all vNet Peerings with another vNet from disabled subscription.

I am also having the same problem, and even trying to perform the procedures on resources.azure.com I was unsuccessful.

In this case, I will open a ticket at Microsoft for analysis, as this is being charged to my subscription.

I understand that you are unable to delete your Azure VPN gateway as it is "Failed" provisioning state.

You are unable to delete the VPN gateway as it is in failed state. To delete it, we need to recover it first.

I would request you to try the below provided steps:

• Open a web browser and navigate to https://resources.azure.com
• Log-in to the appropriate Azure account
• In the blade on the left side of the browser, expand subscriptions, then expand the desired subscription name
• In the blade on the left side of the browser, expand resource groups
• Under resource groups, expand the proper Resource Group Name
• Under the Resource Group, expand providers
• Under providers, expand Microsoft.Network
• Under Microsoft.Network, expand virtualNetworkGateways, select the affected VPN gateway from the list.
• Near the top of the content window of the browser, select the Read/Write push button
• Select the Data(GET,PUT) tab and click on GET.
• Then click on Edit but do not make any changes.
• Finally click on PUT.
• This should help the VPN gateway to recover from the failed state.
• Once the VPN gateway's provisioning state is back to "Success", you can try deleting it from the portal.

If it doesn't help and the gateway still shows as Failed:

• Select the Actions(POST, DELETE) tab on the VPN gateway within the resource explorer(https://resources.azure.com) and click on Delete.
• And confirm if the gateway is deleted.

If you are unable to recover/delete the gateway, we would need to open a support case to get it removed from the backend. So, if you have a support plan, I request you file a support ticket, else please do let us know, we will try and help you get a one-time free technical support.
