Hi there,
is it possible to set the release date by default in the news postings?
Some user otherwise forget to select it in edit mode..

Thank you!

    Dear @jaWa ,

Thank you for your post in our forum.

Per my test and research, there is no way to set ‘Show published date’ to ‘Ture’ as default.
You could show published date manually:
Create a news post -> title: edit web part -> Show published date -> Yes.

As a work around, you could create a page as a news template instead.
See more about Page template in SharePoint

Should you have any questions or concerns, please do feel free to contact me.

    Yours sincerely,
    Renjie Sun

... so no default setting... that is a pity.
    Unfortunately templates are no solution.
    But thank you for responding.
