Please help! My compose button disappeared off my Microsoft Outlook account. I tried Googling a remedy with no luck. Please advise. Thanks!

In order to verify your issue, could you provide some related information?
What do you mean by compose button? Is it your custom button? If possible, please provide specific screenshot.
What detailed version of outlook are you using? Go to File > Office Account > About Outlook

As you can see, I do not have a "File" option or a "new mail" option. What are the steps create/compose a new email?

I have this same issue. There is no "compose" or "new email" button in either the web based or app version of outlook on my surface.

I have the same issue. It just happened this morning. Last night I was able to compose a new email. This morning the compose "button" is gone. I've signed out, signed back in. There is nothing there. I've used a different browser. Same issue.

Is Compose not the same as New mail?

You have the same screenshot as mine. Struggled for ages to find an answer. Guess what, just click the envelope or drop down arrow in the “New email “ blue box & you are good to go 👍

I don't have that new email buttom on my outlook bar. Just have 3 buttons, just like picture above (Home, View and Help). So, I still hoping somebody can help to solve this issue. Thanks

I just had the same problem. I found a little tiny downward v at the far right of my screen. It weird options like ribbon screen or normal? I'm not sure, because I clicked the other one and now I can't get it back lol. But it gave me a new screen that has "new mail" v on the left side.
....It works lol
