Hi, I am trying to setup a Geo-Replica for my Azure SQL Hyperscale database and its been sitting on Accepted State with Seeding 0% for about 6 hours. The database does not seem to be created in the Geo-Replica server and replication does not seem to have started. Need some help and advice to troubleshoot the issue and resolve it. Can someone please help? Thanks!

As I understand, Geo Replication is stuck for Azure SQL Hyperscale database with Seeding as zero percent. Please check below pointers: Geo-replicas must be created on a different logical server. The database name of a geo-replica always matches the database name of the primary. Geo-replication for Hyperscale database has following current limitations : Only one geo-replica can be created (in the same or different region). Point in time restore of the geo-replica is not supported. Secondary of a secondary (also known as "geo-replica chaining") is not supported. Please let us know if Geo Replica meets all criteria mentioned here for Azure SQL Hyperscale Database. Awaiting your reply.

As I understand, Geo Replication is stuck for Azure SQL Hyperscale database with Seeding as zero percent.

Please check below pointers:

Thank You very much for the info! Yes our setup meets the requirements that you have called out. And the replication has completed after about 7 hours and we now have the Geo-Replica caught up and running. So the issue is resolved, and I am wondering if there are any methods that exist to know what is really happening during this window. Are there any advises here?

Glad that your geo replica completed.

This replication and latency depend on several factors like the amount of data, capacity, region, network etc.
