The inbound and outbound subnets created for Azure DNS Private DNS resolver, do they support NSG & UDR ? If so, are there are default set of NSG rules to include?

    Hello @Venkita Ramanan, Ramu ,

I understand that you would like to know if the inbound and outbound subnets created for Azure Private DNS Resolver support NSG and UDR.

I discussed this with the Azure Private DNS Resolver Product Group team and below is their response:

Yes, Azure Private DNS Resolver subnets should work with NSG/UDRs and the only required ports are:

    1. 53 UDP/TCP inbound for inbound endpoints.
    2. 53 UDP/TCP outbound & inbound for outbound endpoints.

Kindly let us know if the above helps or you need further assistance on this issue.
