Hey there community,

I posted this elsewhere but it was suggested i post in here. I understand there are multiple solutions but none of them seem to be working for us!

I need to back up a clients Sharepoint but their current set-up is whack. Their SharePoint expert is hesitant to help due to them leaving the system at some point.

We need to simply download all documents from the site.

I understand we may need to do this the long way (e.g. right click download on each parent folder).

The problem is - this option isn't available from the folder level, only the file level. And even then, it's not always there.

The internet says there should be an "Open in Explorer" button. But that's not visible anywhere. We've also tried to use the Sync button but to no avail. Is it because my OneDrive is not connected to the same Microsoft account?

I've run through all online troubleshooting I could find. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: Is there a way to download all folders / files from a page level? This sharepoint setup is very page heavy.

Cheers,

Mik

    Hi @Mikayla Nicol ,
When you use the Sync button, OneDrive needs to use the same account as sharepoint.
Sync functionality doesn’t need any additional permission for a one-way sync. Even the least permission level: “View only” would do!
Maybe you can try to log in with the same account and resync.
Or you can run the below PowerShell script as an admin to download all files and folders in a Library(Replace $SiteURL and $LibraryName):download.txt
    The results are as follows:
