Exclude folders from roaming profile not working

I'm trying to the exclude the Microsoft Teams cache directories in roaming app data from roaming profiles.
I have tried both the GPO and the registry methods of doing this but neither work.
The Teams cache folders in roaming appdata continue to roam and reside on the network and not on the local profile of the machine signed into.
Please help. Very annoying because it's causing issues with Teams opening up for people when logging into multiple machines (video conferencing offices for example away from primary desk)

From your description, you have Roaming User Profiles deployment in your organization and would like to exclude Teams cache folders.
While since here we mainly focus on general usage questions of Teams application and this question is more related to Windows server, I have added the tag “windows-server” to it.
