How do I fix teams when a "JavaScript error ocurred in the main process" appears?

Question

I have been working with Teams with no problem. Today I am trying to open it and I get "JavaScript error occurred in the main process" I have been trying everything I know (Task manager, restoring the computer, etc) and nothing happens.

Hi @Hand Therapy

Please try the following:

1) Open Control Panel > Uninstall a program
2) Locate latest Microsoft Visual C++ (64bit) and click on Change (If you're using 64 bit version of Teams, maybe you need x86)
3) Click on Repair
4) Enter your Admin credentials to perform repair
5) Once repaired Launch Teams app to make sure it works

What's your operating system?
The issue has been encountered beginning with the latest version 1.5.00.28567 on Windows 7.

What is your operating system?

Teams client now support these systems:

• 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows (8.1 or later, excluding Windows 10 LTSC)
• ARM64 for Windows 10 on ARM
• Windows Server (2012 R2 or later)
• macOS
• Linux (in .deb and .rpm formats)
• Chrome OS
