Authenticator App is not able to add work account

I am trying to add MFA for my work account in my Andriod phone (Samsung Galaxy S20, Android 12). It keeps getting error like - Unable to add user.
I have checked notifications/permissions, latest software version, turned off battery saving, restarted phone, but did not help. I added the same account in a redmi device, but I need it in my own phone.
What should I do to solve this issue?

    As per your comments issue got resolved post resetting all settings in your phone.

    Looks like issue was with one of the settings on your phone. May be the notifications for authenticator app was not enabled. If it was enabled and it was still not working, then you could have tried to disable it re-enable it again.
