Windows 11 Update Error 0x80244018

Question

Hi,

I am not a sophisticated user. I do not have internet so I update sporadically when I am able to find free internet.

I cannot update my Windows 11 on my laptop and get the error: 0x80244018

Why. How do I fix it.

0x80244018 Your machine is connected through a proxy server. Make sure Automatically Detect Settings is selected in internet options. (Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings)
