There are missing options in serveral ADMX templates.
Some of those options are

  • Allow Input Personalization - Template: Globalization.
  • Allow Telemetry - Template: DataCollection
  • Disable pre-release features or settings - Template: DataCollection

The templates were installed into a windows 10 computer, then moved to the templates Central Store in the domain controller (Winsows Server 2019).
Other options are visible from the same template.

I have used the Server 2022 Templates, Windows 10 2021 November update V1, V2 and May update.
To my knowledge the policies shoud be available from Microsoft Windows 10 RTM (Release 1507) Administrative Templates

    Hello JoseDurand-6205,

Thank you for posting in our Q&A forum.

I have checked these policies on one 2016 DC in my lab.

    258956-2016.png

There are all the three policies on this DC.

    258979-201611.png

    258945-201622.png

Did you have 2016 DC in your domain? If so, you can check these policies on 2016 DC.

If no, how did you move/copy/install Globalization.admx, Globalization.adml and DataCollection.admx, DataCollection.adml from windows 10 computer to 2019 DC?

I think the steps should be like this:

1.Copy Globalization.admx and DataCollection.admx from \domain.com\SYSVOL\domain.com\Policies\PolicyDefinitions on DC 2019 to other different locations on DC 2019.
2.Copy Globalization.adml and DataCollection.adml from \domain.com\SYSVOL\domain.com\Policies\PolicyDefinitions\en-US on DC 2019 to other different locations on DC 2019.
    3.Delete Globalization.admx and DataCollection.admx from \domain.com\SYSVOL\domain.com\Policies\PolicyDefinitions on DC 2019 and delete Globalization.adml and DataCollection.adml from \domain.com\SYSVOL\domain.com\Policies\PolicyDefinitions\en-US on DC 2019.
    4.Copy Globalization.admx and DataCollection.admx from windows 10 computer to \domain.com\SYSVOL\domain.com\Policies\PolicyDefinitions on DC 2019 and copy Globalization.adml and DataCollection.adml from windows 10 computer to \domain.com\SYSVOL\domain.com\Policies\PolicyDefinitions\en-US on DC 2019.

Now you should be able to see the policies you want.

Tip: If you do this, the policy corresponding to DataCollection.admx on server 2019 will be overwritten by the policy corresponding to DataCollection.admx on server 2016.

Hope the information above is helpful.

    Best Regards,
    Daisy Zhou

    Hi @Anonymous .

Thank you for your response and sorry for not getting back to you sooner.

I got the templates from set of templates for windows server, these are the links

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/104003
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=104677
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/103667
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/48257

I also got them from the packages for Windows 10 that I mentioned in the previous entry, I belived i have tried four or five different set of templates, and i can see differences as i replace the different sets.

Did not tried them in Windows Server 2016 as the server that I am working with are 2019.

The process to include the templates that you mentioned is the one i've been using.

    Regards.
