Can we use three finger swipe left/right touchpad gesture for forward/backward navigation in all UWP apps?

Hi,
I have customised three finger swipe left/right touchpad gesture forward/backward navigation action using the settings app. It works great for navigation through file explore and the popular browser applications.
But, it does not seem to work as expected in the settings app. I am forced to click navigation buttons placed at the top left corner of the UI or the navigation tree placed at the top centre of the UI. Additionally, it seems to work just fine in the Microsoft store, Films & TV and Media player apps.
I was unable to find a similar issue faced by someone else. I even raised this query in the Feedback hub app more two weeks back but have not received any response.
If this is not a bug, may i request three finger touchpad gesture functionality for all UWP apps like settings, clock, mail, etc.
