Connection Between Data Factory and Azure SQL is not able to import schema of table. results in "Missing required property 'type' on entity reference" error

We have set up a connection between our Data Factory and our Azure SQL databse.
When trying to import the schema of a table from the Database, into Data Factory, we get the following error message.
(we do this by creating a new dataset in Dat Factory, and clicking "Preview Data")
Error code
MissingRequiredProperty
Details
Missing required property 'type' on entity reference Activity ID: ....
We have found very little information on how to solve this error

2022-11-07T15:42:26.76+00:00 We are using a Service Principle to access the DB, this seems to connect just fine.
It should be listed as "Databse Owner" but i am not 100% sure about this -
