How to add category in sharepoint 2013

I have a list of categories in my sharepoint 2013 page. How can I add category to the list? When I try to add a picture it gives options for only the available categories. 258279-category.png

    Hi @CarlNight-9325

    If you need to add new "Category" category - try to open Library settings then click on column named "Category" in columns section and look what the type of the column.

    • If type is Choice

    Click on this column and add new category

    • If type is Lookup

    Click on this column and look what is the name of lookup list
    Click on Site contents(gear in the upper right corner -> Site contents)
    Open lookup list
    Add new item in this list

    • If type is Single line of text

    Just add new item in your library and fill new category value in the field "Category"
