Get email address not available in Teams channel

I have turned on email intergrations in our Teams settings, but we still do not get the option to 'get email address' in a channel. I have found the email address for the Team itself, but when I send an email to one particular team, no one gets it in their inbox and it does not show up in any channel. What am I missing?

    You're talking about two different features here. The generic address of the team can be used to send messages to the underlying group mailbox, however those messages do not end up in any channel by default. Instead, you need to access the group mailbox in order to read them, or optionally, each user can "subscribe" to the group in order to receive such messages in their own Inbox: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/follow-a-group-in-outlook-e147fc19-f548-4cd2-834f-80c6235b7c36
    The channel email functionality on the other hand needs to be activated, and each channel gets a separate email address. The functionality needs to be enabled in your org, and it might take a while to appear in clients (open a private browser session to get the "fresh" status). Once you generate an address for any given channel, messages addressed to it will start appearing in the chat. Keep in mind that there's a special routing configuration that takes care of such messages, and for the most part it's a "black box" to us as customers, so it can be hard to troubleshoot issues with messages not being delivered, etc.

    I do not see the group in Outlook at all. I have others listed, but this particular one isn't showing up. Also, I do not see the option to 'subscribe' or follow a group (in the groups that I do see).
