I add a new VM and during setup I did replication from west to east. When I go to disaster recovery in in the VM I get this error below. There are no options to enable or disable. How do I fix this?

Possible causes
The replication policy with Id 'xxxxxxx' already exists and its settings do not match with the incoming replication policy settings.
Recommendation
If the intent is to modify the policy settings, then the modify policy API should be used.

Hello @Sean , thanks for your post! From your post it appears, that there is already a "24-hour-retention-policy’"that exists, and you are now trying to enable ASR on a new VM to create a new replication policy with the same name and that is leading to the issue.
However, this is difficult to tell without knowing the exact steps you are performing in order to get to this point. Can you please request the exact steps that that you are following to enable ASR?

I enabled the replication when I was deploying the VM. Now that it is deployed that is the error I get and I cannot change anything
Thank you @Sean , to answer your question on how to enable or disable, you will need to go to the Recovery Services Vault -> Replicated Items ->VM-Name and from there you can "disable replica" and try again after doing the proper changes mentioned above in my previous response.
