I recently tried to apply for the Microsoft Workplace Discount programme through my work email, received a confirmation email to say I was eligible, used the link provided and signed in with my personal account as requested to get a discount on Microsoft 365 Personal (30% off yearly).

When I went to pay it had my card details in there already from previous purchases and I selected the correct one and tried to pay. This was then declined and I received a text from my bank asking me to reply with YES or NO if it was me to confirm the payment. They have never done this before so I didn't reply.

I have then received a scam voicemail pretending to be my bank. Is the Microsoft Workplace Discount actually a thing or did I nearly get scammed?

    Hi,

I will suggest you to check the sender's address in detail and check whether it is a genuine address or spoof mail address, I think it is safe to say it is scam pretending to be from Microsoft. Kindly delete that card details and change PIN if you provided any details on the website or link.

Stay safe and Trust but verify and proceed always.

    Hope this helps.
