Hi,

We have a request to disable the password hash syncronization in our customer enviroment. They are also ADFS. They are unsure whether is there any impact if password hash is disabled. May I know how can we identify whether O365 is using ADFS or password hash syncronization for the user's authentication. So that we can plan or do assessment before disabling the password hash syncronization

Hi Niven,

It is very easy to check this and Microsoft has brilliant tool within the AAD Connect, via the troubleshooting process you can figure out if PHS is enabled on the environment, the tool validates the objects, AD and Connector space for the configuration and will provide you detailed information. I will suggest you follow this page and run the tool by launching AAD Connect wizard

Hope this helps.
