Azure Function App: Hot name not liberated after deletion of resource

Hi,

We are facing an issue when trying to recreate a function app previously deleted in terraform. The error says as if the hostname is not available but the resource doesn't exist anymore:
Error: the Site Name "" failed the availability check: Hostname '' already exists. Please select a different name.

We use a naming convention specific to our organization so it can't be that someone else used the same name for the function app and so reserved the hostname.

Would you be able to check if the hostname can be deleted by the relevant MS Team.

Thanks in advance.

PS: this issue seems pretty similar to the one faced on this thread: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/103411/azure-function-app-host-name-already-exist-non-exi.html

    Hello @Mmr Samy

Sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue. Unfortunately, there isn't a lot you can do customer side to rectify this issue as it is handled by Azure. You can raise a support case to get a support engineer to investigate and rectify this issue. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-portal/supportability/how-to-create-azure-support-request

    kind regards
