Hello @czql5v
I believe this needs a 3rd party software to accomplish.
But on windows, every time a user opened a file or folder, event ID 4656 and 4663 will be recorded in the Event Viewer.
Best regards
Karlie

Hi All,
We have a file and print server which is generally only configured to use the File services, such as network drives etc.
We have numerous network shares and approximately 1.5tb of data which is generally classed as critical due to the nature of the files we keep.
I have been asked recently for a report on what files and shares have been accessed over the last 6 months, and wondered if there was a tool that could pull a report based on file access.
I believe my boss needs information on what is being used and for what periods of time.
Any information would be very helpful.
Regards.
