Hello everyone,

I'm in process of changing AD database to another drive for size issue, so, one of process to that is to stop AD service, now, my question is what will happen if active directory domain services is stopped? Anyone has done it before ? What are the recommendationa in this Scenario?

Note, I have 2 DCs one of them has the size issue.

Thank you in advance

Assuming the members have an alternate domain controller listed for DNS then nothing should happen. If a single domain controller, then I'd expect some disruption during the process. Also make sure backups are in good shape.
