Do you know anything about installing drivers during Windows installation on NUC11TNK?
PLEASE HELP - I NEED TO COMPLETE THIS INSTALLATION TODAY.
I have been struggling with a NUC windows installation since Oct 8th.
I purchased a SAMSUNG 970 EVO PLUS M.2 2280 1TB PCIe Gen 3.0 x4, NVMe 1.3 V-NAND 3-bit MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) from Newegg on 10/08/22. I installed it in a new 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-1115G4@3.00GHz NUC (Model: NUC11TNK) as the ONLY drive, with 64GB RAM.
When installing Microsoft Windows 11 Pro from a USB thumb drive, the Windows installer is unable to see the Samsung_NVM_Express_Driver_3.3.exe driver for the Samsung NVMe 1TB SSD.
When reviewing the Samsung NVM Express Driver v3.3 Installation Guide (https://semiconductor.samsung.com/resources/user-manual/Samsung_NVMeDriver_InstallationGuide.pdf), it would appear you can only run the “Samsung_NVM_Express_Driver_3.3.exe” file from within an existing Windows installation, and not as a step of an installation. I am wondering if that is in fact the case, or if it is possible to install the driver as a step in the Windows installation.
I am able to install Ubuntu 22.04 without any problem at all on the same Samsung NVMe 1TB SSD. No driver required.
