Hi!

We are using Configuration Endpoint Manager to distribute Edge Chromium and Google Chrome to our computers. When using one of the built in reports to view data collected from the clients, i can see that many computers are reporting two different versions of the same software. The report is grabbing info from the add/remove programs view, checking on the actual computers i can see that there are multiple instances of Chrome and Edge. There are never more than two different versions showing up. Does anybody have an explanation for this behaviour and what to do about it ? In addition i can add that i also saw this behaviour for Mozilla Firefox.

    Hi, @NoStrangerToMundaneTasks

Thanks for the explanation, so it's not an issue related to SCCM reporting actually, you may check this link for the information:

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

Can you show me which report are you using? What is showing in the report and what is showing in the add/remove programs view of the computer?

    Hi, @NoStrangerToMundaneTasks

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

I checked the report in my SCCM lab, it also has two different versions of edge, we can see the display name is different, "Microsoft Edge" is the same version with the version in the add/remove programs view, the other version is "Microsoft Edge Update", so I don't think it's a problem.
