Hi,

What would be the bandwidth Utilization during a Teams video call when we set the meeting policy to 1.5 mpbs as recommended as per MS .
Suppose 10 people are on a Teams video call, what would be the bandwidth used.? how do we calculator bandwidth when it's in the Teams video conferencing ?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Sam

    Hi @SamJ

The actual bandwidth consumption depends on many factors, such as video layout, video resolution, and video frames per second. When more bandwidth is available, quality and usage will

increase to deliver the best experience. When bandwidth is insufficient, Teams prioritizes audio quality over video quality.

Calculation of bandwidth, you could check out the Network Planner tool, in the Teams admin center. For more details about Bandwidth requirements, you could refer to:

    Hi!

    I found the following post:
    https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams/teams-bandwidth-requirements-for-event/m-p/2754383

1,5MB seem to be suitable for 1-1 meetings whereas 4MB would be suggested when in larger scaled meetings.
I am not sure if such a calculator exists. The closest assessment would likely be this:

    Hope this helps!
