I have cleaned the registry, searched the whole registry, verified IE is reset and clean, and run the "netsh winsock reset proxy" Command. But "netsh winhttp show proxy" still shows a proxy!! :( I have even gone as far as disabling WPAD and DHCP, and it still persists. I can use "netsh winhttp reset proxy" to temporarily remove the setting, but after a reboot it comes back.
Could the proxy settings be hiding someplace else besides the registry??
