databricks : sql endpoints and warehouse endpoints

Hello,

Databrick has recently changed the name of the sql endpoints to sql warehouse.
But in doing so, the http path used has also replaced the word endpoints with warehouse.
Currently, an alias has been set up by databricks which obviously makes the change transparent.

Will this alias remain advitam-eternaem and therefore no changes to the powerbi reports, tabular model, connection, dsn etc... need to be made? Or is there a date when Databricks will remove this alias and force everyone to use "warehouse"?

This has an impact on the users and our future solution and development
