Outlook 2016 - "Send Update" not working; does not update attendees' calendars

Hello,

One of my teams is experiencing an issue where clicking "Send Update" and selecting "Save changes and send update" does not update any calendar other than the Organizer's. The attendees' calendar do not reflect the changes. We use Outlook 2016. The accounts are Exchange accounts. I checked the web version and the same applies - only the organizer's calendar reflects the update. This team uses Citrix XenDesktop in the office and Citrix XenApp when working remotely. We all have Editor permissions on each other's calendars.

Example in screenshot:

  1. Pink creates a meeting on Green's calendar and invites Purple and Orange. Pink sends meeting.
  2. Purple accepts the meeting. Orange does not. Meeting remains on both calendars.
  3. Pink opens meeting on Green's calendar and adds "DONE" to the Subject. Pink selects Send Update.
  4. Green's calendar reflects the change, but Purple and Orange's calendars do not. Green's calendar shows last modified on 11/9. Purple and Orange's calendars show last modified on 11/2.

    Hi @TamarraMaurasse-0974

Are you using Exchange online or on-prem Exchange server, and if on-prem, what's the server and CU version?

Have you checked if the change has been updated if you access the calendar in OWA (for purple and orange)?

If OWA works properly, then this issue is related to outlook client. Take a look at this similar question discussed here: Outlook shared calendar not updating
Please Note: Since the web site is not hosted by Microsoft, the link may change without notice. Microsoft does not guarantee the accuracy of this information.

1.Navigate to Outlook, File--Options--Advanced--Send and receive. Check box to send immediately when connected, in Send and Receive options the calendar is included.

2.Navigate to Outlook, File--Account Settings, click change, more settings, advanced tab, uncheck Download Shared Folders. After that restart Outlook. Observe is the problem reoccurs.
