Remote Desktop (RDP) Audio issue/crash at session closing

Hello,

I experience problems with the remote desktop, server side. I can open the RDP session without problem, but at the moment I close the session I have audio issues (any apps, eg. AIMP, Winamp,...) :

  • When using WDM driver, I have audio interruptions for 1-2 seconds
  • When using WASAPI driver, the audio stop working completely

Details :

  • I am running Windows 10 Pro with the latest updates
  • The RDP client is setup correctly (Play on remote computer)
  • I tried to disable the audio driver redirection in the Group Policies : no effect
  • I tested on different machines/hardware, same issue
  • The same setup was working fine in Windows 8.1 Pro.

I guess it is a bug in the RDP version in Windows 10. Please let me know if any bug-fix or solution exists to that problem.

Best regards,

Quentin D.

Hi. Thank you for your question and reaching out.

This may be as a result of the plug-and-play device not automatically using. If anyone who has plug-and-play equipment can repair:

    1. the Show options button
    2. Local Resources > Click More > Change the tab.
    3. Verify Allow All:

Hello, sorry for my late reply.

Thank you for your answer, but I tried all the possible options on the client side, none of them works unfortunately.
