Dual boot windows 11 and windows 11 on two separate internal drives

I've been having some trouble with nvme overheating on new PC.
I'd like to use the second internal drive to make it a bootable image that also contains Windows 11 so I can use it to troubleshoot when the nvme goes offline.

Looking for step by step instructions on how to do this.

One quick follow-up ? ... can you also dual boot from a single internal drive - say partitioned into two separate logical drives?

Or is booting to an external drive also supported?

Additional info here is this would be on a Surface Laptop 5 - where I'd want to create a "dedicated" install/Windows instance for work and have a separate instance for personal use.

    thnx

There's not much to it. Just boot from the install media and choose the second disk for the second windows instance.
