Turn off chat notifications for a non-team member for a meeting

Our institution has a weekly meeting with all members of our Team. Often, we invite non-team members into our weekly meeting. We share the weekly team meeting Team's link and they join the meeting. However, we would prefer that the non-team member be allowed to see our meeting "chat". The non-team member is getting notifications and is able to see the meeting chat conversation through out the entire meeting.

How to we remove the ability for a non-team member to see our meeting chat?

    As far as I know it is currently not possible to achieve this, there's a feedback suggestion for this which you can vote for over at the Microsoft Team's uservoice page:

    Hi @Severson, Chris ,

    You can disable guest to chat in Teams meeting, but there is no direct way to block guest seeing Teams meeting converstation.
