we have 2016 ShraePoint external site.
we have workflows in this site, and there are external users.
for same 2016 Site, when we create a workflow based on 2010 platform there is no error and External mail id resolved. Where as if we create workflow based on 2013 platform we get below error message when we tried to resolve the same external mail id. Why it is happening and what needs to be done to fix this? why there is difference?

Below are few questions from end user:, please answer below one also

1 Any other account will all need add through workflow platform 2010 in the further?
2. What’s the difference of 2013 vs 2010, since all workflow were generated through 2013 but get the issue recently?

    Hi @sns

    The issue is caused by new security enhancement in SharePoint 2013 workflows.

    There are existing workarounds, one is to use workflow 2010 and the other is to use power shell.

    For SharePoint 2013 workflows you are unable to email external users. This is a “security enhancement” in SharePoint 2013 workflows to enable the users to get approval from the administrators before sending emails to the externals.
