Good afternoon, I want to tell you that I have a VM with Ubuntu 20.04 hosted in Azure, and on the other hand I created a flexible MySQL server also within Azure.
What I need is to connect this VM to the mentioned database.
How do I manage to do it?

Hi, @Lucas Escudero Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.
I understand you are not able to connect to the Azure MySQL flexible server from Azure Ubuntu VM
You can follow this document to connect from Ubuntu. if it is public access also steps are the same other than for the networking side and firewall rules

Good morning Geetha, sorry for the delay, today I was just able to do the indicated steps and even so I couldn't move forward.
I got stuck in the part that has to load the SSH key. When I want to enter through putty, it asks me for the private key. And when I want to load it by CLI I get the following error:

When I see the directory that I have inside the virtual machine, the private key is stored there:

I await a comments.

@Lucas Escudero Please verify the error for mykey.pem
Permissions are too open
Run the below command
chmod 600 mykey.pem

I already managed to make the connection, thank you very much for the help.
On the other hand, I wanted to consult, having only a private connection and being inside a Subnet both VM and DB, is there a way to authorize certain public IPs to be able to access the database directly through "Maria DB, Navicat or similar" ?
