Why won't sharepoint server let me upload images to my new site?

When attempting to upload images to the SharePoint page in my Dev site environment, I keep getting the error message below. This is coming up on nearly every image I try to use from google images. How can I fix this?

"This isn't a file type we support. You can only upload image."

You could check if there is something wrong with your file type, for example, when I upload a txt file, this error will appear:

When I change it to PNG, jpg...it will make success, so you could try to change the file type.
