Wanted to know if Microsoft Cloud App Security (MCAS) and Windows Defender ATP (WDATP) is included with the Microsoft Defender for Cloud offering from Azure? Confused because of the recent name changes and merges.

@Jithin Joy Thank you for reaching out to us, As I understand you would like to know if Microsoft Cloud App Security (MCAS) (now known as Defender for Cloud Apps ) and Windows Defender ATP (WDATP) ( now known as Defender for Endpoint ) is included with the Microsoft Defender for Cloud offering from Azure - No, they are not part of Defender for Cloud offering, All these are different security products.

For pricing details related to defender for endpoint & defender for cloud apps, refer Microsoft 365 licensing datasheet
For Defender for Cloud Refer - https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/defender-for-cloud/

Difference between Defender for Cloud vs Defender for endpoint have been discussed in one of our QnA post in the past - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/956836/difference-between-microsoft-defender-for-cloud-an.html

In summary, Defender for Cloud (Defender for Servers P1 & P2) and Defender for Endpoint are bundled together in regard to servers. (server-based).

For user accounts and devices there are several licensing options, but Defeder for Office, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud Apps, and Defender for Identity are usually related to M365 E5 licensing or AAD P2 (user-based).
