Intune Mac Compliance

We created a compliance policy for macs. The action for non compliance is set to "Mark device noncompliant" and under schedule "2 days". This doesn't seem to work as soon as macs are added they are marked as noncompliant. We expected this to be a grace period of 2 days.

We required the mac to be encrypted. However on first boot and login it will not be encrypted. Encryption does not happen until after the mac is rebooted or the user logs off. We expected that the "Actions for noncompliance" setting "Mark device noncompliant" to 2 days would give a grace period of 2 days.

What are we missing?

@Troy Zoschke Thanks for posting in our Q&A.

I don't have Mac device. I tested in a windows 10 device, and it shows "In grace period" status. I think Mac will be the same.

When I check the compliance status in this target compliance policy > device status, it shows "Not compliant".

When I check the compliance status in Devices, it shows "In grace period".

It is suggested to sync the Mac device, and check if there is any change about compliance status.

If this issue still exists, it is suggested to create an online support ticket to get more accurate help. Here is the support link:

Thanks for the response. It does work like you said for Windows devices but not Macs as far as I can tell. I'll have to create a support ticket.
